Tuesday night’s second Digtial Misfitz event was a great success. The two speakers really gave us a great insight into Social Media and the possibilities that there are for advertising.
Neil Leyden, digital media consultant with Calico Media, spoke first. He gave a concise overview of the internet, from its conception to present day to what we can expect in the future. You can view the video of his talk below. Neil’s website is www.calico.ie and his e-mail neil@calico.ie.

Our other speaker was Philip Macartney, Head of Sales, Bebo Ireland. Philip talked through some of the varied ways that Social Media can be used from an advertising perspective. He also gave us an exclusive view of ‘The Secret World of Sam King’ an new online drama on Bebo which you can see here also at
http://www.bebo.com/samking. Take a look at his talk below. It’s in two parts… Philip’s e-mail address is philip@beboinc.com.
