			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>We were treated last night to a rare insight into seeing start to end strategy and implementation of creative for one of the largest brands in the country.  It was a full house and there was a real buzz in the room.</p>
<p>The evening was kicked of by <a href="http://www.neilleyden.com">Neil Leyden</a> who talked about the venue, Gateway House, and gave an overview of the project that is coming out of there.  More will be revealed in a few weeks and we will be able to share it with you on the <a href="http://www.facebook.com/DigitalMisfitz">Digital Misfitz facebook page</a> as soon as we can.</p>
<p>There was a common theme in the three-hander presentation from Jonnie Cahill, O2, <a href="http://www.mccp.ie">Kay McCarthy, MCCP</a> and <a href="http://www.brando.ie">Darren McGrath, Brando</a> as they all work on the O2 brand.  They talked about a range of ideas and topics including brand DNA and what&#8217;s important to customers; brands need to go one step further in order to solve a higher need for the customer;  brand facilitation is about enabling and brand participation is about engaging.</p>

<p>The main talk was around the O2 brand and how they operate in the ever changing digital landscape and how they adapt and change and put their customer first.  A video for the successful <a href="http://www.brando.ie/?p=1996">&#8216;Be The Difference Campaign&#8217;</a> was shown and discussed in detail.</p>
<p>The videos will be uploaded to the Digital Misfitz facebook page in the next couple of days.  You&#8217;ll be able to hear all that the speakers shared with us in detail.</p>

<p>We look forward to welcoming <a title="Brando" href="http://brando.ie">Brando</a>, <a title="MCCP" href="http://www.mccp.ie/">MCCP</a> and <a title="O2" href="http://www.o2online.ie/o2/">O2</a> to speak at our digital advertising event on the evening of Tuesday April 5th.  The topic for the evening is <strong>&#8216;Building Relationships with your Customers&#8217;</strong>.  The MC for the evening will be <a title="Neil Leyden" href="http://www.neilleyden.com">Neil Leyden</a>, digital media consultant.</p>
<p>This event will be in Gateway House, 133 Capel Street, Dublin.</p>
<p>A ticket is required to attend.  This time the ticket price is up to you &#8211; from zero to hero, all are welcome!  Your ticket price is in your hands.</p>
<p>Seating at the event will be on a first come first served basis and will be limited.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Well, we had a great turn out in Odessa last night for an evening looking at the impact of social media on advertising.  Our two speakers were engaging and really informative.</p>
<p>Ciarán Norris, Head of Digital, Mindshare Ireland spoke first.  He talked about some defining moments in social media and how these are seen as turning points, changing the way we view the medium.  Ciarán also talked us through some excellent and tangible creative examples of the integration between traditional and social media.</p>
<p>Vanessa Fitzgerald, ISO Sales Manager, EMEA, Facebook spoke next.  She gave a nice overview of how the day to day interaction has changed significantly over the las 20 years.  She then talked through key stats showing facebook usage in the Irish market which are undisputedly mindblowing!  1.83 million monthly users in Ireland.  The daily usage is more than the peak viewership of Xfactor.  Staggering stuff.  We were shown a video explaining how &#8216;Deals&#8217; will work and that it will be rolled out after &#8216;Places&#8217;, the launch of which is imminent.</p>

<p>The event is on Tuesday evening the 25th of January.  It will be free to attend but tickets will be required.  Seating will be on a first come first served basis. Save the date, it&#8217;s going to be a good one!</p>

Cancellations must be made in writing via email to admin@digitalmisfitz.com. Cancellations within 30 days of the event are non-refundable. You may transfer your registration to another person 5 days before an event by providing authorisation to us at admin@digitalmisfitz.com. Confirmed and paid attendees who do not attend or who cancel after the deadline are liable for the entire fee. In the unlikely event of cancellation of a conference or event, the liability of Digital Misfitz is limited to the share of paid registration fees that remains after credit card and payment processing fees incurred by Digital Misfitz have been determined and deducted.</p>
